Lifeline Puppy Rescue

The Lifeline Puppy Rescue operates out of Brighton, Colorado, and has saved the lives of nearly 40,000 puppies since its inception 25 years ago. They rescue pups from high-kill shelters in not only Colorado, but surrounding states, provide them with lifesaving medical treatments, vaccines, and spay or neuter them. Lifeline is a 100% no-kill shelter, and is powered by a dedicated staff and incredible volunteers. Their main channel of funding is through the Fire Rescue Dogs Calendar. The FRDC started only recently, the first calendar was for 2016, and since then is responsible for saving the lives of nearly 8000 at-risk puppies. Emily has been the official “Puppy Ambassador” for the rescue since 2016. She has been an advocate for Lifeline, has promoted events, and emceed all of their main fundraising events. She has been involved in raising over 150,000 dollars for the charity. Lifeline Puppy Rescue has a vision where every puppy has the safety of a fur-ever home, and every family has the love of a puppy; and Emily has a vision where anything that involves puppies and (topless) firefighters is a beautiful cause.

Colorado Firefighter Calendar

The Colorado Firefighter Calendar is not only the #1 firefighter calendar in the world, but it is also a huge donator to the Children’s Hospital of Colorado’s Burn Unit and Burn Camps. The Children’s Hospital of Colorado’s Burn Unit is the only one in a 7 state region, and both the Unit and Camp are considered to be some of the best in the country. CFC hosts 2 of the hottest events in Denver each year: the CFC Auditions, and the CFC Release Party. Proceeds of the parties and of calendar sales go directly to Children’s, and since 2012, the Colorado Firefighter Calendar has donated over 565,000 dollars. They are known for having the hottest first responders, attending the most community events, and having the hottest first responders. Emily has not only promoted their events, but been a judge for the Auditions, the emcee for the Debuts, and has had the honor of being invited personally by Children’s to attend Burn Camp. The CFC is a hot calendar, yes, but Emily has been thrilled to be involved with such an incredible cause, and meet some very special kids along the way.

Humane Society of the South Platte Valley

The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley is one of Emily’s charities she works with. They are a non-profit that offers shelter, care, and compassion for lost, stray, and unwanted animals, until they are reclaimed by their families or adopted into a new home. If you’ve ever been to the HSSPV on South Santa Fe, then you know how remarkable the staff and volunteers are, giving so selflessly to help the animals. Emily has been the emcee for the Woof and Wine, the biggest fundraising event the HSSPV throws every year. They partner with locally owned Schomp Automotive to create an evening of live music, incredible auction items, food, drink, and entertainment, to raise much-needed funds for the animals. Over the nearly 10 years that Emily has been involved with the HSSPV, she has helped promote their efforts and events, and been a part of raising hundreds of thousands of dollars. The Woof and Wine is crucial event for the HSSPV, and an event Emily holds dear to her heart because if you know anything about her, you’ll know one of her mottos is, “Puppies and wine and I’m fine.”

Boys Hope Girls Hope

Who wouldn’t want to be involved with an incredible charity, AND enjoy martinis?! Since 2012, Emily has been supporting Boys Hope Girls Hope of Colorado. BHGH is an organization that helps academically motivated middle and high school students rise above disadvantaged backgrounds to earn a high school diploma, entry into college, and a college degree through mentoring, tutoring, and scholarship. The huge event that Emily is a part of every year is the Martini Party, a fundraiser for BHGH that draws out Denver’s top professionals and local celebrities alike. Local restaurants and bars compete for the coveted title of Best Martini, plus party goers enjoy a silent auction, and live music and dancing. Sigh. Raising money for bright young students in challenging situations while having a martini (or two!)… It’s a tough job, but someone’s gotta do it.
